What is your screening process?

Each dog receives a screening prior to being accepted into Dog Day Care. This is done by a pet professional trained in animal behavior. The screening takes place in 3 parts.

  1. Online Application: Please fill out the online application. It will be reviewed by our guest services department and they will contact you within 12 hours.
  2. Have your veterinarian fax proof of current vaccinations along with proof of clear fecal float with in the last 30 days
    to 1-866-631-2063.
  3. Guest services will schedule an interview / evaluation for you and your dog. We do not accept dogs that show any signs of aggression. The cost of an evaluation is $23 and may be applied towards your dogs first day of daycare.

Can I come and see the facility?

Yes, but an appointment must be scheduled prior to your visit. Due to insurance regulations and the comfort and safety of our guests the facility may be viewed through our glass viewing windows. If you would like to visit within the facility a tour may be scheduled after-hours. Our number one concern is creating a welcoming environment for our guests with limited interruptions. Because of our policy to never leave our dogs unattended we do again ask that you call to schedule an appointment .

What is a typical day at Oh My Dog Daycare like?

Doors open. As our guests arrive they are greeted by their Play Group Pack Leader (Human) who takes them out to our “Fire Hydrant Terrace” for potty time. After they are done they go to their playgroup and start playing! The morning is spent running, chasing and playing tug-o-war or keep-away with their friends. Our sparkling, clean playrooms are filled with innovative & safe dog toys from Planet Dog along with cuddly fleece blankets and Pet Cots. There is a “pack leader” (human) present at all times during their visit. Mid–day many of our guests decide to take a snooze. We do not use crates — naptime is voluntary but encouraged by soft ambient music and aromatherapy. On certain afternoons our guests will participate in art projects, agility games or dog movie time on our 60" screen TV. When Mom or dad arrives our dogs are happy to see them, but tired and ready for bed after a fun, stimulating day.

Where does my dog go to the bathroom? How often is my dog taken outside?

We have a 1000 sq ft outdoor fenced-in terrace that is directly connected to our facility and surrounded by a 6-foot privacy fence. There is a big awning in case of rain for those guests who don’t like to get wet. Our outdoor area is constantly sanitized and kept free of #1 and #2. Our guests go outside every 20-30 minutes. On warm days, we keep our doors open so the dogs may wander in and out if they please. In warm weather we also offer swimming pools and sprinklers.

Do you have fresh water? How do your clean your facility?

Purified water is always available and changed every 30 minutes. Our bowls and buckets are sanitized every hour. We do monitor each guests’ drinking patterns to avoid any potential health issues. Our facility is ODOR FREE and sanitized around the clock with dog-friendly cleaning products. We keep our daycare temperature at a constant 68 degrees and our humidity levels low to prevent the spread of germs.

Do You Offer Overnight Boarding?

No. Our philosophy is to provide dogs with a stress free environment. By constantly introducing new dogs into “the pack”, especially dogs that are away from home and their parents for extended periods, is not a safe mix for daycare dogs. It is our policy to only introduce three new dogs into our daycare group per day. This keeps a consistent play floor and gives our dogs a true sense of security. If you are looking for boarding recommendations please call or email our guest services team.

What is the staff to dog ratio? How much space does my dog have to play?

Our ratio is 1 person to every 8 dogs. It is our company policy that at NO time is our pack left unattended. Our low ratio allows us to closely monitor your dog’s needs and keep watch for any potential health or behavior problems. Each dog has a minimum of 250 square feet of play space — more than double the amount recommended by The Pet Care Services Association.
