Classes are designed by dog lovers (who also are Certified Trainers) for dog lovers. We understand the needs of everyday dog owners! Remember, no questions are too small to ask. Communication is key in our classes.

Class Options :

Perfect Start Puppy Class (For puppies 8 weeks up to 1 year)

Start your new addition to your family off on the right paw!

For puppies 8 weeks up to one year. Designed for busy owners who want to get their puppy on the fast track to success. Starting with the basics of handling and socialization. We also cover basic commands along with loose leash walking. Remember your puppy wants guidance from you. This class will show you how to be the leader and give direction to your puppy for life. Positivity is key (as in all of our programs) along with owner consistency and practice.

Basic Training (For Dogs One Year and Over)

Are you looking for a program that is great for rescues and dogs of all sizes over 1 year old? Have you been meaning to get your dog into a training class and aren't sure where to start? Does the idea of walking into a class full of dogs and owners intimidate you.. and maybe even your dog? Rest assured this is the perfect class for the both of you. Socialization, basic commands, loose leash walking and handling are addressed in this program. Due to the age of your dog it may be possible that you both are in a routine where some behaviors are more destructive than positive. Our trainer will address this and get your both off on the right paw. Our goal is for you to be a confident owner who can work with their dog to handle a variety of situations. Remember, it’s never too late to begin a training program. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

What to Bring:

• A 4 or 6 Foot NON Retractable Leash
• Please have your dog in a securely fitted collar (we do not encourage the use of harnesses during training). Oh My Dog offers custom collar fitting at no charge. Lupine makes an excellent collar that does not stretch and is secure. They range in price from $6 - $12 and have a Lifetime Warranty .
• Training Treats ! These should be broken into small pieces . Some of our training members have been known to use carrot pieces, skim mozzarella , cheerios - the list goes on and on. Whatever your choice it should be something that your dog loves and will motivate them. It is suggested that your dog doesn't eat a full meal prior to class.

Please note: A deposit (non refundable) is required to secure a place in class. The deposit is $50. Please send your check to: Oh My Dog Daycare 2045 Niagara Falls Blvd Amherst , NY 14228 (write which class you are attending in the subject line) or drop off a deposit in person via cash , check or credit card.

• All doggies are required to have current Rabies, DHPP along with Bortedella. Puppies must be on their current series of puppy shots. Please call your vet’s office and have them fax vaccinations to: 1-866-631-2063
• Due to the limited size of our classes our trainers are unable to offer full makeup sessions. If you need to skip a session please speak directly with your trainer so they can provide you with the materials to stay caught up.
• Please DO NOT bring your dog to class if they are coughing, sneezing, have a greenish or yellowish eye discharge or have an upset stomach.
